Ohio Women's Alliance Reproductive Justice Table Application

The Reproductive Justice Table is a space explicitly dedicated to helping young leaders (aged 18-27 years old) in Ohio identify, innovate, and launch their own ideas while being supported by experienced leaders in Reproductive Justice (RJ).

The RJ Table is designed to support leadership growth by facilitating training on collective strategy, enhancing advocacy campaigns, and increasing capacity building towards advancing reproductive justice for all people in Ohio. During this yearlong cohort, the young leaders will experience an RJ conference and attend monthly sessions that involve specialized skill development and wellness support through a Reproductive Justice lens. By the close of the year, cohort members will curate, launch, and analyze a Reproductive Justice campaign.

The RJ Table cohort will launch in April 2022 and conclude in March 2023. The cohort will be composed of young leaders all across Ohio and function in a hybrid fashion with most collective work being done virtually and 4 mandatory in-person sessions held in Cleveland & Columbus. There is an expectation of participation that will be split between monthly cohort sessions, small group meetings, and individual work. RJ Table cohort members will receive a stipend of $2,000 for their participation in the program; attendance in every monthly session is required to receive the stipend.

The schedule below outlines the monthly cohort meetings, including 4 in-person retreats with transportation, lodging, and food supported by the guiding organizations. The following are required dates of participation:

RJT will be guided by Ohio Women's Alliance (OWA), and Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity (URGE). The intention is for the young leaders to co-create this experience by guiding the content and pace of the campaign. We believe young leaders are developed when they are intentionally offered wellness, mentorship, and capacity-building resources. This is a unique opportunity for selected cohort members to skillshare and build relationships with other established and emerging leaders in Ohio; OWA and URGE are thrilled to build with you.
