Join our Advocacy and Policy work!
Hunger doesn't happen by accident—it's the result of unfair systems that leave people without the resources they need to thrive. As a Neighbor Advocate with Food Lifeline, you can help change that. We're building a team of community members who care about justice, equity, and making sure everyone has access to good food. Neighbor Advocates speak up, take action, and help push for laws and policies that work for the people—not just the powerful.
Whether you've experienced hunger yourself or just want to stand in solidarity, your voice matters. You'll have chances to meet with lawmakers, join in advocacy events, and help shape campaigns that tackle the root causes of poverty and hunger. Together, we can build stronger, healthier, and more just communities—starting with the power we already have.
Fill out this form to get involved and use your voice and story for change! After you fill it out, a Food Lifeline Organizer will contact you to discuss how you'd like to be involved, and you will begin receiving email calls to action on critical state, local, and federal policy.
Who should join? Anyone who supports ending hunger and wants to support funding for increasing food security in WA State.
What communications will be sent? We will send you information about calls to action, meetings with legislators, and advocacy/policy events.
How often? Communications will be sent on an "as needed" basis.
Can I opt out? Anyone wishing to leave the list can do so at any time.
What expectations are there for people on the list? This list is being created for our “action takers” who will open each email and “click-thru” to message your lawmakers, sign up for events, etc.
How do I help make sure we have the biggest impact? Consistent action-taking is important. Also, adding personalization to the scripted message will help lawmakers and their staff know more about why their support is so important.
