Civic engagement can be both rewarding and frustrating, but it should never be lonely. If you're looking to connect with other folks--especially in Wards 1 and 2--who think neighbors are nicer than neighborhood character and that cities should be for people, not for cars, come out on Sunday, September 11th at 3pm for this month's happy hour at Exiles! 

The conversation will cover: 

• a brief "what is urbanism?" intro! Feel free to bring folks that are interested in learning about bettering their communities, but may not be familiar with the policy jargon around housing and transit issues yet
• Updates from attendees about important issues to watch in their neighborhoods 
• Ways to get engaged in the next month

These conversations will be mainly focused on happenings in Wards 1 and 2, but anyone who is interested should feel free to attend. This happy hour is organized and planned by GGWash volunteers. If you would be interested in organizing something like this in your own neighborhood, let us know!
