Save Philadelphia's Chinatown!

No matter what we look like, where we come from, or how we make a living, most of us want to live in strong and thriving neighborhoods - places where we can safely walk down the street, greet our neighbors, and be a part of the community. For a lot of people, Philadelphia's Chinatown is that neighborhood. Chinatown is a growing and vibrant community where families can live near small businesses, schools, and places of worship, and where Asian Americans across the Greater Philadelphia area feel at home.

But today, the billionaire owners of the 76ers want to build an arena one block away from Philadelphia's Chinatown. The 76ers announced this without even talking to residents, small business owners, or organizations that serve this community. The owners want to change Chinatown without caring how it would impact the lives of the people who live there or if it aligns with the community's vision for the future of the neighborhood.

This isn't the first time developers have tried to make a decision for our communities without us - but each and every time that has happened we've come together to stop them. We joined together to stop big developers, to pressure Philadelphia's city government, and protect our communities. We've stopped stadiums and casinos from disrupting our community, and we'll do it again.
