TAKE ACTION: Tell Lawmakers to Help Feed Kansas Kids!

Last week, Kansas lawmakers introduced a bill to ban the state from implementing Summer EBT, a federally funded program that assists with groceries to children and families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals in school. Summer-EBT is a benefit that will provide eligible families with $120 in food assistance and support more than 266,000 children in Kansas.

1 in 7 children in Kansas are hungry. This bill will force more kids to go hungry in the summer. It is unconscionable that lawmakers would take food from the mouths of hungry school kids.

We submit this petition in opposition to any effort to ban the implementation of the Summer EBT program in Kansas. We urge Kansas lawmakers to make every effort necessary to support Kansas kids to get access to the food they need over the summer months.
