Worlds We Live In, a documentary commissioned by AFB for our centennial year, draws upon the extraordinary and complex life of Helen Keller to celebrate diverse voices within the contemporary blind community. Whether a blind single mom working for NASA or a blind world-renowned architect, these stories exemplify blind pride, creativity, and interdependence as well as Keller's lasting impact.

The documentary also employs a new and exciting creative approach to audio description, sound design, and descriptive transcription by those who are part of the blind community. The production of Worlds We Live In could not be timelier. As AFB begins its next 100 years of advocacy, we know that our work to fight misperceptions and create a more inclusive world is still urgently needed.
