The money bail system is tearing families apart, sucking up urgently needed community resources, and punishing people who can't afford to pay with brutal confinement, before they have even gone to trial. Pre-trial detention is cruel. It is wrong. And It is expensive. Miami has the 7th largest jail system in the country, we spend hundreds of MILLION$ of tax-payer dollars to warehouse people in crowded jails. Thousands are locked in cages simply because they cannot afford bail. This does not keep us safe. Enough is enough. Join our movement to end money bail once and for all.
