Demographic Survey

Our strategy to prevent gun violence requires building a diverse and inclusive grassroots movement.

In order to determine if we've advanced in this critical component of our work, we need to understand how our leaders self-identify. As you step into leadership, we ask you to share this information. Specifically, we are requesting demographic information which will be used in an aggregated basis to identify who we are over time, at both the state and national levels of Moms Demand Action. This will also allow Moms Demand Action chapters to explicitly set SMARTIE goals around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in their chapters, and allow for the ability to analyze changes over time.

A final note, due to constraints in our data collection, the questions and potential responses in this survey are not all encompassing nor nearly as inclusive as we wish them to be. You may feel that the response options do not fully reflect how you self-identify or you may prefer not to answer at all. While the questions are optional, completing this survey as completely as possible and to the best of your ability will provide us the most effective starting point in this important work.

Thank you!
