Please Help Us Stop BLM's Plan to Rip Out Wild Mares' Ovaries with a Chain!

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is ready to move forward with their gruesome plan to literally rip out the ovaries of wild mares using a foot-long device. This barbaric surgery is call "ovariectomy via colpotomy" and it destroys natural hormone production by removing the ovaries. Natural wild horse behavior is the only difference between wild horses and their domestic cousins.

During this surgery a vet forces his arm -- and a 1-foot long metal device with a chain at the end -- up into the mare's vulva and uses the chain to rip out her ovaries. The vet does all this "blind" - no ultrasound - no safety measure to ensure he doesn't pierce another organ or accidentally slice an intestine. 

Previously, The Cloud Foundation, along with other organizations, successfully stopped BLM from using this procedure on wild mares. However, if Congress does not take action in the coming weeks to forbid this practice, BLM may begin conducting this surgery on the range in the coming months.
