As your constituent, I am asking you to reject the reckless bill threatening to terminate healthcare for thousands of Oregonians who rely on the Oregon Health Plan. Please vote NO on the bill in order to protect:

• 1 in 3 Oregonians who could lose their health care
• Oregonians insured through employer plans or private insurance who will see their own healthcare costs rise as a result of massive cuts to OHP
• 286,508 of your own constituents who depend on OHP, including 7 in 10 children

Healthcare costs are too high, and access to proper care is a struggle for many Oregonians. These Medicaid cuts will do nothing to lower costs and could devastate the local hospitals so many of us rely on, increasing wait times and costs for all of us.

It's not right to vote for a bill that will raise costs for all of us and could even close rural hospitals across southern and eastern Oregon. This is no time to hand out tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy paid for by massive cuts to our healthcare.
