The For the People Act would protect our voting rights—no matter our color, zip code, or income. That’s why I ask you to do whatever is necessary to pass the For the People Act.

The For the People Act would:

Prohibit partisan gerrymandering to stop politicians from handpicking their voters 
Require political Super PACs and dark money organizations to disclose their donors
Prevent voter purges where eligible voters are wrongly dropped from voter rolls
Provide for automatic registration of Americans eligible to vote
Protect the right to vote by mail
 
Right now, the Senate filibuster stands in the way of passing the For the People Act. For hundreds of years, white supremacist politicians in the U.S. Senate have filibustered to delay or deny anti-lynching laws, anti-poll tax laws, both Civil Rights acts, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Senator Sinema, don’t let the filibuster deny the promise of democracy for all of us. Do what is necessary, including removing or amending the filibuster, to pass the For the People Act - the civil rights legislation of our generation.

Congressman John Lewis once said, “There comes a time when you have to say something. You have to make a little noise. You have to move your feet. This is the time.”
