Advocating for Women at the Evangelical Theological Society
Sharing and advocating for women's biblical equality at ETS is a priority for CBE because ETS has far-reaching influence over the next generation of theologians, academics, and Bible translators who dictate Christian thought and women's policies in Christian communities worldwide. Founded in 1949, ETS scholars, teachers, pastors, students, and publishers are dedicated to the oral exchange and written expression of theological thought and research.
CBE's presence and egalitarian voice at ETS are vital because “ETS has a reputation throughout the theological academy for its predominant complementarianism.” –ETS participant
Advocating for women's leadership at ETS requires enormous staff time and incurs significant travel, printing, and shipping costs. Thank you for helping CBE advocate at the ETS annual meetings for women who have been called to serve as leaders.
