Join our Campaign to Disband The NYPD's Strategic Response Group

The problem: The NYPD's Strategic Response Group (SRG) is a notoriously violent rapid response group tasked with policing protest across New York City. The unit, equipped with tactical gear, consistently brutalizes New Yorkers who are exercising their First Amendment rights.

The solution: Combatting this brutality means putting an end to the SRG itself. We are fighting to disband the Strategic Response Group and reinvest its estimated $133 Million of funding back into our communities, with the ultimate goal of protecting the safety and First Amendment Rights of New Yorkers

How you can help: As part of our fight to disband the SRG, we are working to pass the CURB Act, a bill that would remove the SRG from protests and would ban the NYPD's most harmful protest policing tactics. As a volunteer for the campaign, you can sign up for skill based roles, take digital action, meet with Council Members, lead phone banks, and more. Once you sign up, we'll be in touch with upcoming actions and ways you can help!
