Owl Creek is a scenic wonderland of cypress and tupelo gum trees with several canopied side channels. The main access point for Owl Creek is Hickory Landing, a U.S. Forest Service ramp and primitive campground. The creek has little or no current and is great for beginners. For this trip, we will be paddling upstream about two miles and then return to the landing, admiring several uniquely twisted cypress trees and blooming tupelo trees along the way.
