1. Online Voter Registration

Texas must modernize our voter registration system and join the 39 states plus the District of Columbia that currently offer voter registration online. By requiring a wet signature on paper, Texans across the state are being disenfranchised -- especially during the pandemic. It's time to bring our election technology into the 21st Century.
 

2. No-Excuse Absentee Voting / Vote By Mail

Removing the restrictions on absentee ballot requests to allow all eligible voters to cast their ballot from the safety of their home is the best way to hold elections in the shadows of the COVID-19 pandemic. With over 16 million registered voters across the state, Texas can prevent the spread of coronavirus and open voting access simultaneously. Vote by mail is the safest way to vote during COVID-19 outbreaks for Texans.
 

3. Stop Postponing Elections

Postponing elections damage democracy by shortening the election cycle, confusing voters, and supressing voter turnout. The United States has held elections during wartime, economic crisis, and during other global pandemics. Tell Texas' Secretary of State to act now to plan for our elections by increasing funding at the county level, expanding vote by mail, and educating Texans on how to vote this July and November.
