Tell the state to raise HCW/PSW/PCA wages!

In 2023, the Oregon Legislature asked ODHS to carry out a rate and wage study. The study focused on providers of in-home and residential care providing services to individuals served by the Office of Aging and People with Disabilities (APD), the Office of Developmental Disability Services (ODDS) and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). This includes wages and pay for homecare and personal support workers, as well as private sector workers in DD agencies and In-home care agencies.  

We feel the study is misleading and flawed and could mean private agencies get big raises and union HCW and PSWs are left behind. The state is asking for feedback on proposed rate increases until Monday, October 28th. Can you take a few minutes to let the state know they should prioritize raising HCW/PSW/PCA wages so we can catch up to the private sector?
