The Climate, Health, and Housing Institute (CHHI) is a 6-month cohort for BIPOC community to collectively explore the intersections between the forces driving gentrification, health disparities, and the climate crisis and learn about ways to organize and advocate for justice in our communities.
Our goal is to continue to build a strong community of BIPOC leaders with a deep understanding and appreciation of environmental justice issues that we all face with the strategies to fight systematic change and inspire fellow members to take action.
To participate in the program, CHHI leaders are required to attend the kick off meeting on July 25th (in-person) and one meeting per month until the end of the 2024 year with a holiday party to wrap up! Meetings will be a combination of in-person and hybrid, with optional gathering times in between to connect with fellow leaders, and last for approximately 1.5-2 hours. Participants will receive a stipend of $250 for their time in the program.
Contact Sam Guthman, Policy Manager, at sam@apano.org with any questions.
Applications are due by Friday, July 12th!
