Email Idaho Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch below.
The US Senate is proposing to sell millions of acres of public lands across the 11 states, including Idaho.
This land sell-off proposal includes:
The mandatory fire-sale of 2.2 to 3.2 million acres of BLM and National Forest land in Idaho and ten other states.
The mandatory fire-sale of Idaho public land without a public input process.
No protections from the sale of administratively designated protections like Wilderness Study Areas, Inventoried Roadless Areas (protections pioneered by our own Senator Risch), or critical habitat areas.
Sales that are first limited to “housing” and “related community needs”, but are then eligible to be sold off to anyone after only 10 years.
