Urge the ICC: Say NO to Illinois American Water
Illinois American Water is asking for a $152 million rate hike that the company estimates would increase water service bills by an average of about $24 per month, while the average residential wastewater bill would increase by about $5 per month.
Urge the Illinois Commerce Commission to reject Illinois American's money-grab:
Dear Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC Docket # 24-0097):
As a consumer who cares about my water bills, I urge you to reject Illinois American's $152 million rate-hike request.
Illinois American customers have long complained about high bills from the company, and this increase would hit customers with an extra $24 a month in water service costs and an extra $5 a month in wastewater costs. The utility is already profitable–its parent company has raked in $1.6 billion in profits over the last two years. This water utility does not need an excessive rate hike.
Please stand up for water customers and say no to Illinois American's money-grab.
Thank you.
