The AAP Foundation is the only 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to periodontists and the patients they serve. We award roughly $300,000 annually in scholarships, fellowships, grants and awards, along with supporting specific education-related programs at the AAP. The Foundation's efforts are helping to retain quality educators in periodontal residency programs across the country, helping to keep research standards high, and supporting excellence and leadership in the specialty.
