2025 Thursday Night Action Hour Community Event February 20, 2025 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM CT Virtual All are welcome to join the Texas Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry (TXUUJM) for our weekly Thursday night justice gatherings on Zoom, from 7pm to 8pm CT. These gatherings are an opportunity to live our values in small (and large) collective ways as a spiritual and liberation practice, taking action in community each week. We check in, connect with justice-seeking folks across the state and beyond, and build friendships while engaging in meaningful work. Each week, we make calls to elected officials about pressing issues, write letters to the editor, send emails of appreciation to justice partners, hear from guest speakers on key topics, and more. It's fun, impactful, and open to everyone- UU or not, Texan or not! Join us weekly or whenever you can, and feel free to invite friends. ALL ARE WELCOME. Trans Inclusion in Congregations - 6 Week Virtual Course Training February 21, 2025 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM CT Virtual Trans Inclusion in Congregations, 6-session course, for Texas UUs and Friends Fridays from Feb 14 to March 28, 11am-1pm 11AM-Noon - OPTIONAL - Watch the lectures on Zoom in community before the official group discussion at noon. If you want to watch on your own, you will also have access to watch on your own time. Noon-1PM - Group discussion and workshop Register here for session one on February 14th and you'll get the Zoom link and materials for all 6 sessions. Please join us for this 6-week workshop to create the UU congregations and spaces where our trans siblings can feel welcomed, included, and celebrated -- and where we all can feel fully alive in our own sense of self and gender. During this transformative course, we will meet weekly to illuminate the multilayered facets of gender identity and pave the way towards cultivating truly affirming and comprehensive congregations that welcome, include, and celebrate the full spectrum of gender diversity.

Regional Day of Advocacy Community Event February 22, 2025 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM CT Unitarian Universalists of New Braunfels, 135 Alves Ln, New Braunfels, TX 78130 Regional Day of Advocacy and Postcard writing with Equality Texas. We will be learning about the work of Equality Texas and writing postcards at the end of the workshop.

Advocacy Training & Postcard Action with Equality Texas Training February 23, 2025 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM CT Westside UU Church, Fort Worth, TX Gordy Carmona, with Equality Texas, will present advocacy training to talk to and communicate in other ways with our elected representatives. We will also write postcards which Equality Texas will hand deliver to our legislators in Austin.

Capitol Activism Training Training February 23, 2025 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CT First UU Church of Austin, 4700 Grover Ave, Austin, TX 78756 Equality Texas will provide a short training session on how we can make our voices heard at the Texas capitol during this Legislative session. Join us from 1-2 p.m. in room 13. If you plan to attend, it would be helpful if you would email me at doverton003@gmail.com so we can look for you when you get to the church. Snacks and drinks will be provided and all are welcome!

Final Friday Action Hour (Lunchtime) Community Event February 28, 2025 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CT Join TXUUJM for Final Friday Action Hour, a monthly virtual gathering where we take meaningful action for Reproductive Justice. Every month, we focus on the urgent issues affecting reproductive rights in Texas and beyond, providing advocacy updates, community connections, and direct action opportunities. Reproductive Justice is for everyone?you do not need to be a Unitarian Universalist or identify as a woman to participate. This space is open to all who care about bodily autonomy, healthcare access, and justice for all people. Whether you?re a seasoned advocate or just getting started, your voice and action matter.
