More than two years into the pandemic, and Connecticut still does not have a legitimate, transparent, or comprehensive COVID-19 plan in the Department of Corrections. To date, more than 90% of people detained in jails and prisons in the state have tested positive for COVID-19; in Connecticut, less than 20% of the general population have tested positive for the virus. Without action from lawmakers, more people will continue to get sick from COVID-19 while incarcerated.
Join us to demand that lawmakers develop a comprehensive and transparent COVID-19 plan for incarcerated people in state jails and prisons.
