As part of our commitment to community science and environmental justice, we are excited to offer another opportunity to participate in Method 9 Smoke School. At our last session, participants learned how to make visual opacity assessments of smoke, gaining hands-on experience in monitoring air pollution and ensuring compliance with air quality regulations. By building these skills, we empower community members to take an active role in protecting air quality and holding polluters accountable.
Our next Smoke School will take place in May and will be open to both first-time attendees seeking initial certification and those needing to renew their certification. Certification renewal is mandatory every 6 months to remain certified, so past attendees are encouraged to attend again. If you are interested in participating, please fill out this form so we can keep you updated with details as they become available.
Join us in strengthening our community's ability to fight for clean air!
