Since the Spring of 2020, R4BL has organized protest rides to bring awareness to racial disparities and police brutality. 2023 was a sabbatical year, but we're back, and looking forward to continuing in a series of rides in 2024 and beyond.

In previous years, we focused on gathering community in the wake of George Floyd's murder. The experience was healing and brought the cycling community together to in solidarity, amplifying the call for liberation for Black lives. This year, while we will continue to organize rides, our focus will be community capacity building and anti-racism training.

Ride for Black Lives Boston is a project led and managed by Black community leaders committed to bicycle advocacy and mobility justice. The Boston Cyclists Union is hosting the Ride for Black Lives Boston in 2024.
