Please fill out the contact form below to be added to the volunteer interest list for the Southern Region SMIE Sampling!
We rely on volunteers to help us monitor stream health throughout Henderson and Polk Counties and participate in biomonitoring twice a year (in April and October). Through the Stream Monitoring Information Exchange (SMIE) biomonitoring program, we sample aquatic macroinvertebrates, or aquatic insects, as indicators of water quality. These bugs can tell us a lot about the health and vitality of our streams.
Please note under MountainTrue policy, we will never share your contact information with external groups or individuals.
