We, the National Black Worker Center (NBWC) and National Legal Advocacy Network (NLAN), are collaborating to launch a national initiative that provides educational resources, legal services, and support to Black people working in low-wage industries. For the past year, we have been collectively planning a strategy that will fully support Black workers who disproportionately suffer from exploitative and predatory workplace practices - poverty wages, rampant discrimination, routine threats to their health and safety at work, lack of benefits, wage theft, retaliation for organizing and more. We invite you to join us in this effort and play an integral role in closing the legal and advocacy gap for Black workers.
