On July 16th union stewards and representatives met with agency leadership to make our case regarding the group grievance for Work Out of Class (WOC) differential pay. OS2s working in Child Welfare have been performing paralegal duties without compensation. Management did not have many questions and mostly seemed to be listening to the details of our case. Unfortunately the leaders of DHS denied our grievance and it will now be moving forward to be heard by DAS Labor Relations. In the meantime we are looking into other duties that were assigned to the over 100 grievants involved and will present that information as the case progresses. We are asking that you take a moment to participate in this email action. We're sending messages of support to ODHS and DAS-LRU leadership so they know that workers are united behind the OS2s in Child Welfare who have been unfairly denied a WOC differential.
