I proudly sign this petition to tell Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) to Freeze the Fees! Because of KUB's mandatory fixed fee (the 'basic service charge' on my bill), I'm paying $20.50 a month before I even flip on a light switch. In 2010, monthly fixed fees were $6. Since then, fees have tripled! 

I oppose any additional increases to this mandatory fixed fee. Fixed fees hurt low usage customers such as low-income, single resident, elderly, and fixed income customers, and will lower the value to adopt solar and invest in energy efficiency. KUB customers deserve the right to conserve and control their energy usage to help lower energy costs. Electric bills in Tennessee are some of the highest in the nation. The last thing we need is higher fees. That's why I'm speaking out to say #FreezetheFees:
