In the middle of May 2024, 2019 Stallion Alluvium was captured by Theodore Roosevelt National Park staff and brought to the holding pens within the park. He has been there since as the park labeled him a "nuisance" animal who they deemed needs to be removed for the safety of the public. Investigative reporting by Patrick Springer of the Fargo Forum show that no formal complaints were made to the park about Alluvium and it was in fact the bison that were hanging around the campsite that posed the real threat to visitors.
Despite of receiving thousands of emails demanding that Alluvium be set free, the park refuses to give him his freedom back. Please add your voice to our petition asking our federal delegates to help free Alluvium.
