Donate to Voters For Animal Rights on #GivingTuesday

We founded VFAR because there is a dire need for a multi-issue political advocacy group focused on animal protection in New York. We know that New Yorkers care about animals and it's time our laws reflect our values. If we want to stop the endless cycle of cruelty to animals, we need laws to protect them in the first place — or we'll just keep chasing our tail. (Pun intended) And to do that, we need to elect compassionate people, train animal advocates to run for office, and organize humane voters.

When New York enacts laws to protect animals it has a ripple effect across the entire country. By banning the sale of puppies and kittens in pet stores throughout New York state, we're cutting off the demand for puppy mill dogs bred in Missouri and Pennsylvania.  When we banned foie gras in NYC, cities all over the country started their own campaigns to follow. As an all-volunteer organization, your support is vital to continuing this work.

This #GivingTuesday, we're looking ahead to 2021 to ban the sale of fur and shut down live animal markets. We must diligently work to endorse and help elect candidates that will fight for animals. With your help, we can keep winning victories for animals.
