Since 2011, Georgia Power customers have been paying around $10/month on their electric bills for costs associated with the still under construction nuclear reactors at Plant Vogtle. Plant Vogtle's nuclear expansion is a high-risk energy project that is more than five years delayed due to mismanagement and construction problems and has a price tag more than doubling from the original $14 billion estimate to over $28 billion! The majority of the financial burden for building Vogtle will fall on customers, not shareholders if the Georgia PSC Commissioners continue to let Georgia Power have its way. Making matters worse, experts question whether the current November 2022 completion date can be met and whether the project would then be economic to continue. It's time the Georgia PSC Commissioners take charge and stop letting Georgia Power continue to run-up the ever-increasing Vogtle bill. Send a letter to the PSC today and tell them why YOU want them to step up.
This form will submit your letter directly to all the members of the Georgia PSC.
