Immigrants who are incarcerated or formerly incarcerated in ICE jails continue to experience trauma, unemployment, and medical/mental health care issues. California does not have re-entry services for immigrants who have been incarcerated and who are currently still fighting their deportation cases. This is why our communities, including non-profit organizations, have taken on the responsibility of ensuring that individuals have access to the most basic needs.
The Inland Coalition for Immigrant Justice and the ACLU of Southern California have created the first re-entry program for immigrants in the Inland Empire. The Resilient Voices program provides trauma and mental health sessions, access to different resources in the region, organizing and advocacy training, and mentorship. The particpants are from the Inland Empire and have experienced prolonged detention at the Adelanto ICE Processing Center. At the end of the program participants recieve a stipend to honor their time and to support them with other needs.
Your donation to The Resilient Voices fund would provide financial support to directly to immigrants. The following are services we provide during and after the program:
Trainings on Communications, Migrant Accompaniment and Mentorship, Intro to the US Immigration System, and Deportation Defense Campaigns 101
Community Resiliency Model Training by Trauma Resouce Institute Teachers
Case management throughoout program and after including referrals to resouces
Post-program group therapy sessions with licensed professionals
Monetary stipends for each particpant
