Remove the $8.5 million for the West Susitna Access project from the budget!
Alaskans face dual crises of climate and economic uncertainty, and the Governor is pushing for legislators to budget $8.5 million towards a project that will benefit large corporations based outside our state instead of focusing the precious dollars we have on helping our hurting Alaskan families.
This last minute shenanigan with the state budget is happening at a time when there is a major backlog of deferred maintenance for roads, bridges, and the marine highway. We need this money for projects that will work for Alaskans. This $8.5 million is a gift to an out of state corporation and a slap in the face to Alaskans who must drive on dangerous roads full of potholes.
Take action today and let your leaders know that $8.5 million should go to supporting our roads, our families and our future. Add your unique voice to the message below!
