When appropriately requested, dues refunds will be made to each Local 26 member who holds more than one (1) job in Local 26's jurisdiction where duplicate union dues are being deducted from the member's paycheck for each job. The lesser of the two dues will be refunded.
Requests should be submitted in the following manner: Copies of pay stubs showing the member's duplicate dues deductions must accompany the member's dues refund request, along with the member's name, place of employment, job category, last 4 digits of your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER (without this your request will be denied), complete home address (including apartment #) and telephone number.
Beginning on 6/1/15 members will only be reimbursed up to six (6) months before the date that the duplicate membership dues request is submitted to the union. After a member receives initial reimbursement, refund requests must be submitted quarterly (3 months).
The union will undertake appropriate steps to educate the members about this policy.
