It's time for meaningful action in the U.S. on voting rights, and New York State has an opportunity to lead. In an effort to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of New York (NYVRA) before the end of the legislative session, we are targeting state lawmakers and urging them to take immediate action to advance this legislation. 

Email your Assemblymember – defend the right to vote and advance the New York Voting Rights Act! While bad actors across our country are trying to restrict the right to vote, New York has an opportunity to lead and become the most pro-democracy state in the nation if it passes the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of New York (NYVRA or New York Voting Rights Act). To protect access to the polls in 2022, New Yorkers need to take action now. We need our state lawmakers to prove that they're truly committed to protecting our right to vote by advancing the NYVRA.
