Volunteer Opportunities

Here is the list of opportunities you can be part of plus some specific current initiatives. Please check off any and all of the activities detailed below that interest you:

  • Voter registration:  We have several voter registration drives prior to the VR deadline.
  • Writing postcards to voters:  We are continuously planning large scale postcard projects to remind voters of upcoming elections
  • Texting to voters:  We text voters to remind them of the importance of voting in the next election
  • Canvassing to voters:  We knock on doors and talk to voters!  These have been successful in getting out the vote and we have had so many wonderful conversations.
  • 35 Doors / Neighborhood Leader Project:  Volunteers knock on the doors of 35 of their neighbors twice a year to talk about the upcoming election. They answer questions, hand out literature about what's on the ballot, and remind people about when polls are open. How do they know all of this? We provide training, materials, and everything they need to do this! Due to logistics, participation is limited to Philadelphia and the immediate vicinity.
  • Phone banks: Phone banks are a great way to talk to voters about upcoming elections.
  • Phone calls and visits to our elected representatives:  You'll see Calls To Action in the newsletter with the info for making these highly important and effective calls.
  • Meetings:  We hold meetings to educate our members and to announce upcoming plans.
  • Rallies:  We hold rallies to bring public attention to important issues.
