We're showing up with Planned Parenthood outside the US Supreme Court because everyone has the right to bodily autonomy and privacy in all health care decisions, free from governmental, political, and religious interference. On Wednesday, April 2, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic (PPSAT). At stake in this case is a state's ability to block people with Medicaid from going to the qualified provider of their choice, effectively stripping low-income people of autonomy in their health care decisions. Judaism is clear about our responsibility to ensure health care for all people, as preserving life (pikuach nefesh) overrides almost all other obligations.
What: Rally with NCJW, Planned Parenthood, Hadassah, the RAC, WRJ and the Rabbinical Assembly outside the US Supreme Court for reproductive health care access, health equity, and patients' rights.
When: April 2 at 8:15am ET
Meeting Point: RSVP for exact meetup location and timing
