About The Gala

The Festival of Hope Gala is an annual opportunity to honor individuals and organizations that have made substantial contributions to improving the lives of people affected by cancer through their partnerships with CancerCare. Oncology professionals, healthcare providers, representatives from major corporations, as well as cancer survivors and members of the community participate in this event annually. This powerful evening pays tribute to the dedicated supporters and tireless advocates who help CancerCare sustain our free programs and services.

Biljana Naumovic, President, U.S. Solid Tumor


Biljana Naumovic is President, U.S. Solid Tumor. In this role, she leads one of the company's fastest growing therapeutic areas and advances the organization's solid tumor portfolio and pipeline, spanning prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and lung cancer, as well as multiple novel tumor pathways. Biljana is a member of the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine North America Leadership Team.

Prior to this role, Biljana was Worldwide Vice President, Global Commercial Strategy, Oncology for the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Working in collaboration with the R&D organization, she led the development of breakthrough commercial strategies to deliver a sustainable and differentiated oncology pipeline.

Biljana has also held the position of Managing Director, Janssen Australia & New Zealand (Janssen-Cilag Pty Ltd.) where she oversaw a cultural transformation and reorganization of the business, culminating in double digit growth in 2021. Biljana first joined Johnson & Johnson in 2019 as Vice President, Oncology for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), where she created and delivered the commercial strategy across the solid tumor portfolio and pipeline for the region.

Before joining J&J, Biljana held a number of senior positions at AstraZeneca, most recently Vice President of Commercial for Europe where she was responsible for driving strategy across oncology, respiratory and cardio metabolic therapy, including commercial effectiveness and digital platforms. Biljana also held the position of General Manager of the Swiss affiliate for AstraZeneca, reshaping the company to deliver growth after years of decline.

Biljana has a passion for people development and throughout her career has mentored diverse talent across multiple organizations, expediting growth and enabling cross-functional, cross-regional and global development opportunities.

Biljana is a physician by training and graduated in 2001 from the Belgrade University Medical School. She worked as a practicing physician for several years before transitioning to industry. Biljana also holds an executive education degree from the London Business School. She is married, has three children and one chocolate lab, and in spare time loves traveling, reading and is an avid runner.



June Lanoue, President, US Hematology


June Lanoue is President, U.S. Hematology at Johnson & Johnson where she leads the company’s largest therapeutic area in delivering transformational cancer treatments to patients and advancing the hematology portfolio and pipeline.

Previously, June was Vice President, Sales and Marketing, U.S. Hematology where she was responsible for the company's growing portfolio of hematology products, including leading marketing strategies, market engagement, alliance management, and providing commercial input for business development opportunities.

June has a strong, diverse background at J&J. She has also served as Vice President, Commercial Disease Area Stronghold Leader, Rheumatology and Dermatology in the Global Commercial Strategy Organization, Director of Marketing for one of the company's biggest oncology brands and as National Sales Director for Cardiovascular and Metabolism. June has a great passion to build a winning patient focused culture by focusing on people and their development.

June spent 16 years with Novartis, leading teams to deliver strong results across multiple challenging and complex market spaces, including immunology, rare inflammatory diseases, transplant, asthma, dermatology, cardiovascular and diabetes. Over the course of her career, she has led more than 15 launches across different therapeutic areas and has consistently delivered or exceeded expectations in her leadership roles.

June is often recognized for her strong, dynamic leadership and has been awarded Working Mother of the Year by Working Mother magazine. She has a passion for giving to local and national charities to help battered women and supporting research for children with ultra-rare diseases.

June is a graduate of the State University at Binghamton, NY, and lives in Chester, NJ with her husband, Brad and two boys, Ethan and Aiden, who are avid hockey players.
