The Biden administration and the Democratic congress have invested historically in the American economy with the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill. Now, another landmark bill - the Build Back Better Act - will continue these once in a generation investments in America's social infrastructure. Jewish Dems call on Congress to pass the Build Back Better Act to make generational investments for American families.
Now is the time for transformative investment that will rebuild the middle class, address economic inequality, combat climate change, and deliver justice for Americans who have been left behind, including communities of color and rural communities. For too long, policy makers neglected American workers. With the Build Back Better Act, we can finally make long-needed investments in the American people. The Build Back Better Act will fundamentally improve the lives and livelihoods of Americans by:
Lowering the cost of healthcare and prescription drug prices;
Extending the increased Child Tax Credit which is expected to cut child poverty in half;
Combating climate change and investing in clean energy jobs;
Strengthening families by funding paid family, parental, and medical leave; and
Reforming the tax code so the wealthiest individuals and corporations pay their fair share.
Now that the Build Back Better Act passed the House, we call on the Senate to take action. Sign here to contact your Senators and call on them to pass the Build Back Better Act so we can continue investing in American families and workers.
