A new Ohio law, specifically targeting organizations like Abortion Forward Alliance (formerly Pro-Choice Ohio Foundation), mandates us to verify the source of all our donations and restricts us to using domestically sourced donations from U.S. citizens or nationals for ballot initiatives and other political work. This law, signed by Governor DeWine, empowers Ohio Attorney General David Yost to investigate organizations engaged in political or ballot work. It imposes a substantial administrative burden on political organizations, particularly those supporting abortion rights and other progressive causes, and unfairly targets and penalizes immigrants.
