Project Details

What We'll Be Doing

Join us for rock work, drainage clearing, brushing, and trail corridor realignment on this key connector trail. Your efforts will help prevent erosion and maintain this important link in the Pogonip trail system.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable, closed-toe shoes
  • Layered clothing appropriate for weather
  • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
  • Filled reusable water bottle
  • Snacks
  • Work gloves (if you have them)

What We'll Provide

  • Professional guidance from our pro Trail Crew and volunteers
  • Tools and equipment
  • Work gloves (if needed)
  • Morning coffee and light snacks
  • Training and guidance
  • Drink, meal, and raffle tickets for the after-party!

Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Stewardship (SCMTS) coordinates Santa Cruz's annual National Trails Day event (part of a nationwide campaign by American Hiking Society), bringing together hundreds of volunteers and local partner organizations to celebrate and care for our trails. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, SCMTS is dedicated to creating and maintaining sustainable trail systems throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains.
