Friday, February 24, 2023 9:00 AM - Friday, March 3, 2023 6:30 PM PT

The Union Power Builder Program is a paid training and union-building opportunity available only to SEIU Local 221 members who exemplify the qualities of leadership. This program is for current and future member-leaders who are respected by coworkers, willing to raise their voices against injustice, committed to winning better pay and working conditions and ready to put in the work to build a more powerful union.

If you are one of these leaders, now is your time to step forward. This is an approximately one-week program which combines outreach, training and member action to stregthen the power of our union.

Are you ready to be a Power Builder? Submit the application. If approved, we will submit a “lost time” request to your employer. This means that your union will pay your employer to release you from normal work responsibilities for a specified period of time. You will continue to be paid your salary and receive benefits from your employer while you are released for Union work.
