It costs DCCH $508 a day per child to clothe, house, feed, provide round-the-clock care, have recreation opportunities, and provide trauma-informed therapies to the children we serve. The state of Kentucky reimburses us $336 a day per child to provide 24-hour care to the 32 children housed at DCCH Center for Children and Families. That leaves us with a deficit of 2 million dollars a year. The deficit feels overwhelming for anyone wanting to see how they can make an impact. The reality is, it takes the collective to care for these children. It is a village of direct care staff, teachers, donors, volunteers, and advocates. With a commitment of less than $20 a month, you can give a little and in turn, actually help contribute A LOT! When 100 people give just $18.48 a month that leads to over $22,000 a year in donations and that goes a long way in helping us serve the most vulnerable in the commonwealth. We serve children from all over the state of Kentucky so consider joining us no matter where you live in the state, the country, or the world! Join us and become a heart healer today.
