SEIU Local 500
Montgomery College Online Authorization for Membership

Montgomery College adjuncts unionized with SEIU Local 500 in 2009. They have made great improvements in their working conditions through collective bargaining. They are the highest paid adjuncts in Maryland's community colleges (no other adjuncts have a union yet), and have increased rates of compensation by 65% since forming a union. They now have annual appointments and improved job security and the rights and protections of a union contract.

This unmatched progress is only possible through union members. The College listens to adjuncts because they stand together.

Membership Dues:

Adjuncts who earn $5,500 or more annually pay $20.00 per pay period

Adjuncts who earn less than $5,500 annually pay $17.50 per pay period
