70th Carolopolis Awards

The Preservation Society of Charleston established the Carolopolis Award program in 1953 to promote excellence in historic preservation through recognition of projects that protect the historic resources of Charleston and the Lowcountry. Now in its 70th year, the Carolopolis Award is a time-honored tradition celebrating the Charleston community's commitment to preserving its rich history and heritage. Property owners and project teams from the local design community are acknowledged for their work on historic exterior and interior rehabilitations and restorations, compatible new construction, and resiliency projects that adapt historic architecture to the changing climate and floodwaters using creative design solutions. The winning projects' dramatic transformations and unique stories always excite and inspire the audience at our annual Carolopolis Awards ceremony.

This year's awards ceremony and reception will be a gala-style event with seating at round tables for up to 8 attendees. The evening will begin at 7:00 PM with the awards presentation, followed by a buffet dinner and celebratory reception from 8:00 - 9:30 PM. If you have specific seating requests for individual tickets, please note them in the comments box below the ticket form. We will do our best to accommodate seating requests based on availability.
