Connecticut would grind to a halt without child care. That’s what thousands of child care providers, parents, and their children will demonstrate on Wednesday, May 7 during “Morning Without Child Care” rallies all across the state. Centers throughout Connecticut will close their doors to highlight just how essential child care is to working parents and employers, and how dire Connecticut’s child care affordability crisis has become. Parents and children will join their child care providers at 15 rallies, where they will call on state leaders to invest in affordable child care for working families and living wages for educators.
