Volunteer Opportunities:

Policy & Advocacy: Meet with local officials about ACLU-MN issues, attend town halls, write letters to the editor with our talking points, and participate in phone banking and community canvassing.

Community Outreach: Staff ACLU tables at events like Twin Cities Pride, distribute "Know Your Rights" materials, respond to rapid-action calls, attend rallies and protests, and help roll out campaigns, especially in Greater Minnesota.

Legal Support: Assist our legal team with complaint reviews, case summaries, and research. Attorneys interested in volunteering should email dmckinney@aclu-mn.org with their cover letter and resume.

Communications: Support our social media presence by engaging with content, sharing posts, boosting event visibility, and helping with photography and graphic design.

Office Support: Help with essential behind-the-scenes work including data entry, mailings, donor research, grant writing, and language translation.

Philanthropy and Events: Host a fundraiser for the ACLU-MN, assist at events, or table at community fairs

Special Skills  If you have a special skill (graphic design, photography, IT security experience, language skills, etc.), please let us know!

Time commitments are flexible, with both one-time and ongoing opportunities available. Some roles require quick response times for urgent actions.
