In Community | COVID-19

We would like to feature YOUR story about how you made decision about the COVID-19 vaccine.

COVID-19 continues to impact our lives into 2021. As we learn and share in these times together, we are centering in the power of our collective to share our stories in community with one another. As we work to better understand how our community is making decisions on getting the COVID-19 vaccine, we invite you to share your story of how you made your decision about the vaccine. We are collecting these stories as part of a social media campaign to inspire our community to get vaccinated.

Choose one of the following and share your story below:

  • Option 1: Getting the COVID-19 vaccine was important to me because . . .
  • Option 2: I have NOT received the COVID-19 vaccine yet because/but . . .
  • Option 3: Record a video on what your experience has been in making decisions about the COVID-19 vaccine and send it to Pang Foua Xiong at pang@caalmn.org. (Feel free to record in your native language!)

A recent report by CAAL & Hmong Public Health Association, A Race to Close the Disproportionate COVID-19 Mortality Rates in Minnesota's Asian Community, reported on the disproportionate COVID-19 mortality rates among Hmong, Karen, Karenni community members, and helps illuminate the inequities experienced. By telling our own stories, we can make visible the challenges and experiences we face—and we can inspire and connect with others.

We hope sharing this with you will inspire you to share your story with CAAL!
