The State Board of Education is considering re-opening the Connecticut Juvenile Training School - a closed youth prison - as a charter school. This facility has a long history of neglect and abuse of young people and must not be turned into a school. Governor Lamont needs to demolish CJTS and invest in real community safety: housing, health care, education, and jobs.
Please join us at 4:30 PM on Monday, February 27th at the Connecticut Juvenile Training School (1225 Silver Street, Middletown, CT 06457) to demand Governor Lamont demolish CJTS and invest in real community safety: housing, health care, and jobs.
We look forward to seeing you at our action.
