Support Good Jobs For Our Local Economy

10 South Broadway hired responsible union janitorial contractors for decades, but that is no longer the case. During the past several years, Hertz Properties Group's investment in 10 South Broadway has lost tremendous value. As a result, Trident and Colliers awarded Building Stars the janitorial contract - a contractor with a history of lowering standards for St. Louis working families.

Special receiver Trident and building manager, Colliers, are responsible for day-to-day operations at 10 South Broadway, which include providing cleaning services to tenants such as KPMG International and architecture firm HOK, who both hold multi-year leases. Saving a little money on janitorial services likely means reduced services for tenants while destroying the livelihoods of St. Louis working families. It is time for the janitorial contractors profiting off the backs of working families to create sustainable union jobs that support a strong working class.

Fill out this form to urge Sandi Metz, Colliers Senior Property Manager and Greg Williams, Trident Pacific Real Estate Group Special Receiver, to do business with a responsible janitorial contractor that provides sustainable union jobs for St. Louis working families.

Do business with a responsible contractor!

To whom it may concern

I'm writing to you today because 10 South Broadway has a long history of doing business with responsible janitorial contractors, but unfortunately that’s no longer the case. Last year, Trident and Colliers decided to contract cleaning services with Building Stars – a company with an opportunistic franchise model and a history of eliminating sustainable jobs for working families in St. Louis. Working class people in St. Louis are finding it more difficult than ever to make ends meet – even while working two or three jobs. When working families struggle to meet their basic needs, our entire local economy feels the impact. I urge you to revert back to 10 South Broadway’s previous practice of doing business with responsible union janitorial contractors that provide workers with access to paid time off, annual raises, affordable healthcare, job protections, and a voice at work.

Sincerely, [Your information here]
